Finding Centre –This quadtych explores drawings as a means to communicate the idea that the walking body is a receiver of energy. Specifically, the drawings consider what forces are present when crossing the centre force of subterranean flowing water.
The imagery is created from GoPro motion capture footage of the dowsing rods (Hazel sticks) movements as the magnetic pull moves the rods at the point of crossing centre. The traces are drawn in charcoal and graphite, carbon signifying the material fundamentally connecting life.
